Faust

Goethe invented his "Faust" when he was little more than twenty years, but ended in tragedy for a few months before his death. This work was the result of philosophical and artistic searches of the author — poet, playwright, novelist, greatest scientist of his time, a man of encyclopedic knowledge. The hero of the tragedy of doctor Johann Faust lived in the first half of the XVI century and was reputed to be a magician, who, rejecting modern science and religion, sold his soul to the devil. About Faust went oral legends, he was a hero, theatrical performances, to his dealings were authors — G. R. widman, K. Marlowe, F. M. Klinger, G. E. Lessing, and others. Under the pen Goethe's story of Faust, dedicated to the eternal themes of the knowledge of life and difficulties of the human journey, has become one of the peaks of world literature.
