Description
"Sovereign" is the most significant and controversial work of the Florentine statesman of the Renaissance, Niccolo Machiavelli. For many years this book was associated with the politics of poison and dagger. After the release of "the Prince" coined the term "Machiavellianism", denoting cynicism, permissiveness, duplicity in politics. Today, however, many provisions of the author are not perceived so clearly, finding its embodiment in the history of the twentieth century. In addition to the "Sovereign" in this edition, published another famous work of Machiavelli's "discourse on the first decade of Titus Libya", supplementing and clarifying many aspects of the basic work of the author. Both texts presented in the most up-to-date translated and supplied with notes.
